European Road Cycling Championships (UEC Road European Championships), Ljubljana
From October 2nd to 7th, over 800 riders from more than fifty countries will compete for the European titles. Fourteen races between Ljubljana and Šenčur.
For six days in October, Ljubljana will be the center of European cycling. The route connects the capital with Gorenjska and ends near Šenčur, where a selective final circuit at Možjanca will decide the titles. Fourteen races, over eight hundred riders from more than fifty countries, and it costs nothing to watch from the roadside.
What to expect
- Fourteen races in six days: road races, individual time trials, and the mixed relay
- All categories will compete: juniors, under-23s, and elites, both women and men
- The start and finish of the road races are located around Šenčur, with the final circuit at Možjanca
- Free to watch, anywhere along the route
- Start times for each race are in the official program; check them before you head out.
Will you be in Ljubljana that week and have no interest in cycling? Book early and check in advance which roads will be closed. The European Championships coincide with the Dutch autumn school break.
